Artist's Comments

'Tis me.

I am both the subject and the photographer of this image, as well as the artist who made it look like it does. I'm quite pleased with how it turned out.

OK, that seriously rocks.
Reminds me of someone.....

'Reminds' you? Have I changed that much?

Perhaps I have. After many years of kicking and screaming, I finally started dressing like a girl.

But not always, of course. This particular get-up was for a film premier, so I had good reason to look swish...

I love the beautiful burgundies in this picture! Was the pheonix done with PhotoShop? Great concept and very well executed. :+fav:

Thanks. I worked hard to get those colours in the background. Much layering and gradient tweaking.

The phoenix is a digital manipulation/composite of a macaw, and pheasant, and a lot of highly detailed Photoshop work.

Guess what I was originally holding in my hand? The camera with which I took this shot of myself, in the mirror.

Wow! That's really amazing. I would have figured someone else took the picture. What a great idea!

this one looks amazing.

thanks for your comment on one of my pictures (tramp), ive only just got round to checking my profile after ages, but i was really rather flattered by your comment, the way i look at photography is, at the moment im just a college student, and it would take me a long time to get established or recognised. and as for national geographic!
:iconburgundyphoenix:
Getting established is not a matter of time, it is a matter of intent. Seriously. Doing what you love, loving what you do, and making sure as many people know about it as possible.

You don't have to wait around. There's no set time and place for when things happen. It's just when you make them happen.

Getting rather philosphical here, aren't I? But I do mean it, you know.
